In my concept class, fall semester of junior year was all about presenting a winning pitch. In my case, the more I rehearse what I’ll say, the smoother my presentation will go, and luckily, we had an entire week to get the concept, style frames, animatic and presentation just right.
During the process of creating a concept for Moleskine, my first thought was, “Finished sketchbooks are usually filled with so many random ideas.” I took that thought and used the idea of “randomness” as a gateway for seamless transitions into a different page.
The day of the pitch, we all jumped out of our sweat pants and into our best professional wear to mimic the way a board room would actually look. It was one of the most memorable learning experiences of fall semester for sure.
